In my opinion this article calls for a rewrite and using few bullet points that will simplify the whole paradigm of being a good developer. That explains the reason that we 1000's of web apps written as Database table wrappers. The programmer is avoiding looking at the domain, creating a design that effectively reflects the existing requirements while being flexible in dealing with the future changes. The number one trait that I see in in effective programmers is the ability to organize their thoughts to solve the problem at hand in the most straitforward manner. This is very similar to the skills required to write a good paragraph.
